Get Authorization to Access Medical Records

Patients get enrolled in the OneCare platform through a healthcare facility. For different reasons that include travel, referrals, and emergency care, they must go to some other hospitals, so long as that hospital is on the OneCare platform, the practitioners can request access to the records of patients that are not primarily registered with them, to be able to provide them with the care required.

  1. Click on Resources from the menu
  1. Select Consent Management
  1. Click on Request Consent at the top right corner of the page
  1. Search for the name of the patient’s primary healthcare facility
  1. Search for the patient by name or MRN
  1. Click on Request

A request is sent to the patient, which they can either accept or deny. A list of all the consent requests sent out by a user is displayed. The request sent to the user by patients or other facilities is also displayed in the same place. The list of requests is displayed along with the status of each, for those requests sent to a user, which can be accepted or denied.

  1. Click on the three-dotted icon in the Actions column corresponding to a received request
  1. Select Accept to accept a request, or select Deny denying a request
